Elle’s family history books project
I have a massive family tree on Ancestry.co.uk that I’ve created from scratch. As at the time of writing this, there are 3,330 individuals in the tree, dating back as far as the 1400s.
I have discovered (and it was an exciting discovery!) that Ancestry and MyCanvas.com have an arrangement that means you can transfer all the info from your Ancestry account to MyCanvas and print family tree posters or family history books. I’ve made two of the posters for family members (both in their 90s) and the quality was excellent. So I want to make some family history books. Not only will they be a lovely keepsake, but they’re a much easier way to share the information, stories and discoveries with the rest of my family (eg. my parents and sisters). Hence, this project.
Ideally I’d like to have my parents’ DNA tested before I do their books, but that will be finance-dependent, and I’d still like to make the books regardless, so I haven’t included that a subtask.
