As the days grow short, the colours turn bold,
deciduous trees discard green for gold,
russet and amber, an autumn array.
Seasonal palette of hues on display,
a feast for artistic eyes to behold.
The clear skies of day have been placed on hold,
evening’s glamour begins to unfold,
a last hurrah as the sun slips away,
as the days grow short.
The temperature plummets, the air grows cold,
but nature still paints, she is uncontrolled.
Repetition might seem a bit cliche,
but we see her glory day after day.
And beauty like this can never grow old,
as the days grow short.
This is such a beautiful description of season change. Just gorgeous, Elle!

Aw, thank you! It’s spring here now, but I love the autumn colours. Our native trees are evergreens, so autumn is not as vivid here as in other countries, but there are some beautiful areas near where I live where I see the leaves changing colour as I drive home.

You are most welcome! I live in the northern hemisphere and our trees have started to change their colours, the sun has begun to paint the hills in shades of orange and the shortening of days have brought cooler temperatures. Here’s wishing you a happy spring 🙂
